About Modern Day Muffler & Brakes
We're Modern Day Muffler & Brakes, a family-run auto repair shop on S Lyman St here in Wadsworth. Exhaust and brake work is what we do — day in, day out. Mufflers, brakes, catalytic converters, flex pipes and Ohio E-Check repair make up the bulk of our week, and because we stay in that lane, we know these systems inside and out.
The shop is run by Rob and Patti Hedrick, and "family-run" isn't just a phrase we like the sound of. It shapes how we treat the people who pull into our bay. When something's worn out, we bring you over and show you the actual part — what it does, why it's failing, and whether it's a fix-it-now situation or something that can safely ride a little longer. No pressure, no mystery, no guessing on your behalf.

Modern Day Muffler & Brakes did a phenomenal job on my Dodge Challenger. They treat you like family from the moment you walk in the door. They are extremely knowledgeable and go out of their way to communicate everything to you until the job is completed. They even gave me a ride back and forth from my home so I wouldn't have to work something out. All around 5 star service, and reasonable prices. I highly recommend them. Ask for Rob.
